I think it's like a shining light in terms of, like, real data for the industry. The partnership with the data we have at Kodiak and trying to work with advocacy is a real lane that we're actually trying to focus in on. It's not just thought leadership and fodder for the media. I think this is really needed to transform the industry. There's a lot of bad data sources out there. We've had clients sometimes an article comes out and their organizations goes to the VP of revenue cycle and says, hey. Why are AR days looking so poor? And they come to us and they're like, what's the actual number? And it sometimes it's a pretty significant gap between what's being kind of published out there from a survey based standpoint versus actually what's real data. There's a large organization that's a association that does survey based metrics. And if you're an underperforming organization, you're probably not gonna submit a survey to be like, yeah, I'm really bad here. Let me just send out all this information. So you have none of the underperformers in the database, so the database looks, you know, artificially high. When you look at the Kodiak database, you know, two thousand hospitals, you can't apply for it. There's no survey. It's just actual data. That gives you a clear line of sight, a gold standard of what's actually occurring in the industry, which, you know, nobody else can do. I think the role transactional data has over survey data is really the ability that you can roll up calculations and KPIs. So when you look at a survey, a survey might say, please give me your AR days. And what if you're a time of billing shop versus a time of payment? Well, your AR days are gonna look different in both of those situations where, say Kodiak might calculate what's true AR days where we can regrowse up those accounts because we're getting every payment adjustment charge on those accounts so we can actually create an apples to apples metric that is unique. We can calculate because we have the transaction data so it also gives you a little it's not just giving you more volume of data in terms of all this transaction data, but what you do with the data is a lot more precise.

"We embarked on a project a couple years after [the COVID-19 pandemic], after we were hearing more and more concerns from our members about payor practices. At the time, we didn’t have the data from a statewide advocacy perspective. We surveyed our members, and that was great. We got some great data, but our members told us that the process was cumbersome. After seeing a report that Kodiak put out, Time for a Commercial Break, I reached out and asked—‘can you do that on a state-level basis?’ I got a call back right away, and that’s how we got started.”
–Joann Alig, Senior Vice President for Public Policy, Wisconsin Hospital Association

"The Loper decision provides opportunity for those of us in the reimbursement industry to evaluate federal agency policies and interpretations under the new standard of whether they are the best readings of the enabling statute."
-Liz Elias, Attorney, Hall Render

“As Indiana hospitals struggle with cost pressures that have depressed margins to unsustainable levels, every dollar counts. Working with Kodiak Solutions can help hospitals, health systems and medical practices recover more of the reimbursements that they are owed for providing care in communities across the state.”
-Adam Scott, Senior Director of Field Engagement at IHA
