Shameka has more than 25 years of professional internal audit and consulting experience, including 13 years in healthcare. Before her role at Kodiak, she served as a principal in the healthcare consulting practice at Crowe LLP. Prior to that, she was a manager at a Big Four firm, focused on internal audit consulting for healthcare, manufacturing, and public service clients. Shameka partners with healthcare organizations to increase their risk coverage and maximize their return on investments committed to risk-related activities.

She also advises governance and management on enhancing business processes that strengthen their internal control environment, meet their key strategic goals and business objectives, and assist with the development of practical solutions to mitigating risks. Through this partnership, best practices, top risks, trends, and emerging risks from the healthcare and internal audit industries are shared. Shameka holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Lincoln University.

She is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional. Shameka is a member of the Health Care Compliance Association, Institute of Internal Auditors, Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, and the National Association of Black Accountants. In her free time, Shameka finds joy spending time in the company of loved ones, exploring new destinations, engaging in competitive softball games, casting her line for a good catch, and taking exhilarating rides on her motorcycle.
