Melissa has deep healthcare expertise with more than 37 years of healthcare leadership, technology, operations, and consulting experience. Prior to her role as Chief Privacy Officer at Kodiak Solutions, Melissa served as a managing director in Crowe LLP’s healthcare consulting practice, where she focused on healthcare data protection and associated risks.

She has worked in and with a wide range of healthcare providers, including large multi-hospital systems, physician practices, community hospitals, and post-acute organizations. Melissa’s clinical background and experience paired with her healthcare technology leadership experience provide a unique depth of understanding of healthcare operations. Her technical expertise is focused on business operations, including finance, revenue cycle, shared services, HR, risk, and supply chain.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in occupational therapy from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master of Science degree in health occupations from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. In her free time, Melissa enjoys spending time volunteering and mentoring, and traveling and seeing concerts with her family.
